Hope Csutoros: Violin

Hope Csutoros studied classical violin from the age of ten and received a scholarship to study at the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest. Her studies also include composition and improvisation at the Victorian College of the Arts. Hope is Theatre Physical's resident composer, with whom she also performs, including tours of Miss Havisham's Dream to the Melbourne, Sydney and Perth International Festivals, and to festivals in the UK and Europe. She also performs her own compositions for short film, Contemporary Music Events, Composing Women's Festival, the Shrieking Divas and is a member of the composing string quartet DeFLOCKeD. She recently performed with the Gavin Bryars Ensemble for its Australian concert series. Other highlights include Anthill Theatre's Peer Gynt, Chamber Made Opera's Sweet Death and The Cars That Ate Paris, Phantom of the Opera and the State Orchestra of Victoria. Hope continues to play with My Friend the Chocolate Cake, performances include tours throughout the UK, including the Edinburgh Festival in 1996 and 1997..
